The goal of THE MAGIC OF READING is to aid in your efforts to motivate your children by promoting the FUN of recreational reading, and the use of the library.

Utilizing the techniques of stage magic, each illusion reinforces moral values such as sharing, cooperation, "paying it forward". giving respect to get respect, and consequences (cause & effect).

THE MAGIC OF READING utilizes many books through out the show.

	Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

	Betsy Ross: Designer of Our Flag by Ann Weil (discussing the history and evolution of the American Flag)
	The Warm Fuzzy Tale by Claude Steiner

THE MAGIC OF READING is specifically geared to Grades K - 5.

The list of books is provided so those teachers in the younger grades may have an opportunity to acquaint their students by reading one or more of the books to their students, while those teachers of the older children might encourage their students to seek out some of the titles in the library. This is NOT essential for the students to learn from and enjoy the THE MAGIC OF READING. It does, however, give those that so desire the opportunity to be familiar with some of the themes that THE MAGIC OF READING program deals with.
